UK retailer Clove says Samsung plan to release a 64GB version of the Galaxy S3, which according to IBTimes, surfaced on the Carphone Warehouse website earlier this month.

Clove says that the black Galaxy S3 will be landing in October, although it is currently unavailable for pre-order, and no price is listed for the SIM-free handset.

Clove aren’t the only retailer in line to offer the black S3. A report from Phone Arena recently suggested MobileFun.com was also expecting shipments of the 64GB version within 4-6 weeks. In fact, MobileFun are offering a black S3 at present. It is however the 16GB model. Phone Arena’s report also suggested that a pink version may be available.

Samsung Galaxy S3 64GB – Is It True?

Leaks from online retailers are notorious for being inaccurate — after all, it’s is an easy way for them to get noticed. But lets not forget, the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 was promised by the Korean firm prior to the S3′s launch. A spokesperson from Samsung revealed in July that “the 64GB model of the Galaxy S3 will be available during the second half of this year.”
So Clove’s claims may not be too far from the truth. October certainly qualifies as the second half of the year.

It is thought that a revised version of the Galaxy S3 could be a strategic move to stay ahead of Apple’s iPhone 5, which is due to be released in Q4 later this year.
