Mobile technology is getting bigger and bigger every day, so it’s no surprise that mobile internet traffic is also increasing. If your WordPress site isn’t mobile friendly, you run the risk of alienating 5-10% of your readership, so I’m sure you’ll agree that it is absolutely essential to make WordPress mobile. In this article, I’m going to show you 5 great ways to make WordPress mobile friendly.
WPTouch

WPTouch is my favourite mobile plugin/theme, which is why I use it on this site. WPTouch automatically transforms site into feature-rich web app experience when viewed with an Android, Apple, or BlackBerry touch device. It probably has one of the best admin panels as well, well worth the small price tag in my opinion.
Mofuse

The Mofuse plugin makes your WordPress site mobile friendly for huge number of devices such as Android, iPhone, Blackberry and many others. A lot of top blogs like Mashable and Makeuseof use Mofuse. Unfortunately their free version of the plugin doesn’t give you much freedom, but it does cost you nothing and it is extremely easy to set up.
WPTap

WPTap has both free and paid themes, they display a mobile-friendly version of your site to touchscreen mobile devices like Android, Apple and Blackberry. WPTap leaves your regular theme as it is, and it only displays a mobile theme when the visitor is using a mobile device to access the site.
WordPress Mobile Pack
The Make WordPress Mobile Pack has a mobile theme switcher that selects themes based on the user visiting your site. Like WPTouch Pro, WordPress Mobile Pack has an admin panel that allows you to write new posts when you’re out and about. Its interface is quite basic, but it is free.
Make WordPress Mobile – For The Administrator
Here’s three great mobile-friendly Admin Panels for your mobile device. These let you manage your blog while you’re on the move.
WordPress For iPhone

The official iPhone app is on of my favourites, it lets you edit and write new posts, upload photos, and manage comments right from your Apple device. Visit their site for some screenshots!
WP For Blackberry

The official WordPress for BlackBerry app works much like the official app for the idevices, you can edit and write new posts, upload photos and videos, and manage comments.
WordPress For Android

And finally, the official app for Android, which is an Open Source app that works in much the same way as the other two official apps. You can edit and create new content, as well as manage comments.
Hope you’ve found this post useful.
