When it comes to content management systems (often abbreviated to CMS), WordPress is at the top of the list – both in terms of popularity and functionality. WordPress has quickly grown into the most widely used CMS on earth, outstripping it’s rivals by a considerable distance. It’s no surprise either, given the ease of use and functionality of the platform coupled with the visual impact of the websites you can create with it (not to mention it’s free!).
I’m no stranger when it comes to WordPress – I’ve been using it for years now – but even I was surprised to discover just how popular and widely used the CMS has become. Whilst researching the following WordPress infographic for the fantastic Yoast website I came across some statistics that were truly astonishing – so astonishing that I’m making it a personal mission to share this WordPress infographic as widely as I possibly can.
